The husband and wife team who brought us Mopoke collaborate again on another beautifully graphic story about eating. This koala is bored of his monotonous eucalyptus leaf diet (bringing in an element of education) and spies some alternatives. Readers will enjoy looking for the slight differences in the repeated koala illustrations, each created in stylish, clean, digital collage with a lovely limited colour palette. Funny and informative, this is a tale about consequences and having too much of a good thing. I do recommend carers notice and celebrate the ‘koala language’ translation for what might be construed as a swear word before sharing with young readers.
